The dual mode, magnetic, sound activated door holder is used to legally hold open internal fire doors. Listen and learn technology records the specific sound of the building’s alarm, to ensure doors will close upon hearing this exact sound, rather than reacting to other loud noises.

The battery-powered fire door holder holder uses a magnet to hold the door open and when the alarm sounds, the door is automatically closed to prevent the spread of smoke and flames.

The device is fitted to the wall and a keeper plate is discreetly fitted to the top of the door so there is no damage to the floor and prevents door warping. It can be fitted to internal fire doors in less than 10 minutes and can also be floor mounted if required.

How it works

The fire door holder allows you to legally keep fire doors open using a magnetic device on the wall and keeper plate on the door. This can help to increase ventilation and access, without compromising fire safety.

In the event of the fire alarm sounding, the door is automatically closed to prevent the spread of smoke and flames. The red button on the device allows users to manually close the door if needed.

There is a timed release option to ensure all fire doors are closed when the building is not in use and the doors will close in the event of a battery power cut. The LED display screen makes it easy to maintain and be aware if batteries are running low.
