Firestrip SFS50P and SFS50PS intumescent strips are extremely effective in automatically sealing timber fire doors to stop the spread of fire and smoke. Used in a wide variety of applications, including door edges, glazing in steel and timber partitions, pipe closure devices, air transfer grilles, aviation bulkheads and linear gaps, they seal a fire door effectively to contain a fire.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

    • Suitable for both 30 and 60 minute timber fire resistant doors to BS476: Part 22: 1987

    • Smoke seal variants suitable for doors required to meet BS476: Part 31.1: 1983 at ambient temperatures

    • Smoke seal in black brush pile with options for flexible rubber in our Flexifin range

    • Supplied with self adhesive tape as standard

    • Suitable for both 30 and 60 minute timber fire resistant doors to BS476: Part 22: 1987

  • Standard sizes available

    Widths: 10mm, 15mm & 20mm Depths: 4mm

How it works

Automatically contain the spread of smoke and fire

In the event of a fire, the intumescent strip expands to many times its original volume and develops a positive pressure when restricted by two substrates.

Because of its chemical composition, it also has a very high melting point.
